From there, we’ll recommend a home solution tailored to your lifestyle, focused on industry-leading energy efficiency and healthier indoor living.

Choosing the right home design is about more than just looks, it’s about performance,  your Green Homes Australia consultant will guide you through our range of thoughtfully designed, energy‑efficient homes. All Green Homes Australia designs are developed with passive design principles in mind, optimising orientation, natural light, airflow, and thermal comfort. Facades and layouts can be discussed to help suit your block, council requirements, and personal preferences, while ensuring your home meets or exceeds modern energy efficiency standards.

Every Green Homes Australia home includes a comprehensive base specification focused on energy efficiency, comfort, and healthier living. This includes items such as insulation, high‑performance glazing, efficient heating and cooling solutions, and sustainable construction methods. Your consultant will help you select inclusions that align with your performance goals, lifestyle, and budget.

This is one of the most exciting parts of the home building process. Accepting the tender and making a preliminary payment will get the ball rolling on drafting your construction plans and contract.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

This is an exciting part of the home‑building process where our design team collaborates closely with you to create a home that reflects your lifestyle and sustainability goals. After learning about your personal style, needs, and family requirements, we will present a well‑considered design and prepare the necessary documentation to get your Green Homes Australia build underway.

Contour and soil testing will be completed to ensure your home is engineered appropriately for your site. Using this information, we will draft your construction plans, which will be presented and reviewed with you.

During your selections appointment, you will work with our team to choose all the features of your home, including colours, finishes, fixtures, products,  and your kitchen design. We’ll also review your construction plans,  add any chosen upgrades to your quote. This will allow our team to create the documentation needed for CDC or DA approval and contracts.

Our team will coordinate the required certification including engineering, BAL and BASIX needed for a CDC or DA and submit the documentation for approval. At this stage, we will also obtain the necessary driveway and water approvals.

Once approvals are granted, you will need to sign your final contract and pay the build deposit. Materials are ordered, trades are scheduled, and you will be introduced to your dedicated Site Supervisor, who will oversee your build and provide regular progress updates.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE

This stage sees your vision and plans become reality. We’ll be right beside you the whole time, sharing your excitement as your new home takes shape. We will ensure you have access to your home during each stage of construction and will be there to celebrate with you when we hand your keys over upon completion.

Site preparation begins with earthworks, service installation, and the pouring of your engineered slab, designed to support your home’s energy performance and structural integrity.

The structural frame is erected, followed by the installation of windows and external doors.

External walls, cladding or brickwork, and roofing are installed to reach the “lock‑up” stage. At this time, key services such as plumbing and electrical rough‑ins are completed. You’ll be invited for a walk‑through to confirm lighting placements and electrical outlets.

This stage includes adding plasterboard, internal doors, cabinetry, bathrooms, and joinery. Every element is installed with attention to quality, comfort, and performance.

Final finishes are completed, including painting, flooring, tiling, electrical and plumbing fit‑offs, appliances, window furnishings, driveways, and any landscaping included in your contract. Your home is carefully detailed and prepared for handover.

It’s time to move into your new high‑performance home. We will organise to meet with you onsite to walk you through the finished property, and hand over the keys. You’ll receive a comprehensive handover pack including certificates, warranties, maintenance guides, and appliance manuals.

We’ll conduct a 90‑day maintenance inspection to ensure your home is performing as intended and address any issues that arise.

Rest assured, we provide support throughout the entire 6-year warranty period. Our builder’s warranty insurance covers your home for up to six years after completion (practical completion), ensuring peace of mind for years to come.
